Description
The Kuru Art Project, established in 1991 and located in D'kar, a small village in Western Botswana, serves as a vital link in the preservation of the San Bushman people's heritage. The artwork depicts myths, legends and events of a bygone era when these formerly nomadic people sustained their communities by hunting and gathering food from the veld. These artworks represent the only remaining threads of history that narrate the story of a way of life that has since vanished.
